You have to start a program of weekly exercise to strength your muscles. In the same way, your brain is a kind of muscle too! Concentration skills: Exercise from 1918
The rays of the sun directly target to any object by the means of a lens; at this time it produces heat many times greater than the scattered rays of the same source of light and heat. This is called true attention or concentration outlook of center point where the sun’s rays fall on the object.
For instance if the rays get scattered on the object, the result would not be same because the rays could not focus its concentration on the object. When you pay attention on object, your every action is the direction of falling that object. For example, if you focus your energies upon a thing you will generate the force that can bring you what you want.
When you focus your thought on one place, you increase its strength.
Finally the outcome of this theory is that if you are persistent on the above theory, you will find it valuable and it will increase your power of concentration.
Sitting still in chair and concentration skills
Try to sit in a comfortable chair as much as you can, keep in your mind that it is not as easy as it seems. In this situation, you have to focus your attention on sitting still on a chair. Watch and observe that you are not moving your body on chair and make sure that you are concentrating in sitting still.
By doing this exercise, after a while, you will find yourself able to sit still without any movement. When you are able to do this exercise perfectly still, increase your time from five to ten minutes and then to fifteen. Do it, as long as it is necessary but never strain to keep still.
Fix gaze on fingers
First of all, take a chair and sit on that with your head up and chin out, shoulders back and raise your right arm until it is on the level with your shoulder. Look around with head only and fix your gaze on fingers and keep the arm perfectly still for one minute again. Do the same exercise with your hand. When you are able to keep the arm in straightway, increase the time while doing this actively.
Focus at least for five minutes on your palm’s downward when it is outstretched, while sitting in a comfortable position.
Let’s take an example to understand the theory of fix gaze on fingers. For instance, fill a glass of water and hold it by your fingers, put the arm directly in front of you; now fix your eyes on the glass of water and try to keep the arm straight in front of your eyes and do not try to move or shake your body at that time.
First of all, do this practice for one minute and then increase the time from one to five minutes. Do this exercise first with one arm and then shift on the other hand by applying the same method.
You will see the positive outcome of this practice and improve your concentration and focus by the time.
Applying concentration skills on fists
After sitting on the chair, move your chair near to table and place your hand upon it. Clench your fists and keep your hand facing palm on the table and then press your thumb tightly on the fingers. Afterward, fix your gaze upon the fist for a moment, and then, gradually extend the thumb and try to concentrate your whole attention on the act. What you are performing, consider it a matter of great importance.
Onwards, gradually, extend your first finger then your second one and so on. Then reverse the process closing first the last one opened and then the rest and finally you will have the first one again in the original position with the thumb closed over the finger.
Do this same exercise with the left hand. Keep up the exercise first with one hand and then the other until each hand in a few days you can increase it to ten times.
It is possible that above exercise make you tired but it is important for you to practice as much as you can. By doing this practice you can train your mind to concentrate on anything in a few minutes. By all the way you can control on your muscular movement. Try to pay attention on everything deeply and by doing this practice on daily basis you can focus on the things in a short period of time. You may think these exercise are very simple and of no value but I assure you that you will reading in short time that you have a much better control on your muscle or movements.
Focus one thing at one time
Do work in such a way that you are not interested in anything else in the world except what you are doing on specific time. Do not scatter your attention from the work you are at and make sure that your attention will no longer be rebellious.
If you feel that your attention is not being centered, try to control it, before it gets scattered and not let it control you. Once you conquer the rebellious attention you have achieved a great victory and you will feel that after some time.

Concentration increases the sense of smell
In the morning, evening or night, when you go out for walk, look around your surroundings, and try to feel that everything wants to whisper. Concentrate on the odor of flowers, plants and imagine that how many different kinds of things you can detect.
Onwards, try to any other particular thing and concentrate on it; you will get a kind of fragrance in it.
By applying this method, you can find ample opportunities for developing the sense of smell. When you are out, be alert for the different fragrances; therefore, you need to concentrate only one of the odors among many.

Concentration on the within

Concentration skills on sleep
Are you suffering from insomnia? It means that you are trying to sleep but you are not able to sleep; here we go.
Practice as much as you can; this is called water method process. Before sleeping, bring a glass of water and put it in your room where you can watch it easily from your bed.
Sit in a chair beside the table and gaze on the glass of water which you have put in front of you on the table. And try to calm your nerves and feel how calm it is! In this moment, in a short period of time, you will find your nerves becoming quiet and you will feel like sleeping.
Such concentration skills on sleeping skill are very useful. And you will feel in a short period of time that you are overcoming the fear of insomnia and now you are able to sleep easily.
Practice talking before a mirror
Before practicing this method, draw two lines on mirror on your eyes’ level and assume that two human eyes are looking into you. At first, your eyes will probably blink a little; this is the time when you have to focus your eyes into mirror’s sketch eyes. This time, do not move your head and neck by standing erect.
Keep your head perfectly straight in a motionless pose and do not let another thought come into your mind. Keep your head, body and eyes still and consider yourself like a reliable man that anyone would have confidence in.
When you are doing all these above mentioned practices standing in front of mirror, practice deep breathing.
Make sure that there is plenty of fresh air in the room and feel that you are having meal on it. After some time, you will catch that your fear has been disappeared, and I am sure, it will have been replaced by a sense of peace and power.
The Eastern way of concentration skills
By this way, sit on chair and keep your back in an upright position, and press your one finger against the right nostril. After pressing the finger on your nostril, take a long deep breath, slowly and steadily, take the breath as gently as you count to ten and onwards expel through the right nostril as you count to ten.
Repeat this exercise with your opposite nostril. This exercise should be done 20 times at least.
Control desires to sharpen concentration skills
Thinking about desires, a lot of questions arise in our mind. To control the desires is one of the hardest processes but this exercise will polish your concentration skills up to the mark.
It is very common to tell others whatever you know but controlling desires is much harder.
If you become able to control your desires, you can wonderfully strengthen your power of concentration skills.
Remember that, you have each and everything what you want; do not waste your time and energy in thinking of others or in gossiping about them.
Often, you learn something from another person that is harmful keep it yourself. By applying this method, you have strengthened your will by controlling your desire to communicate your views.

One of the good exercises is that to read some short-stories and then write it in your own words.
Read an article to get only the important content and see how few words you can express in your own words. If you are unable to write out what you have read, you will know you are weak in concentration.
Instead of writing it out, you can express it orally if you wish. With another method you can apply on yourself.
Go into room deliver your words as you are talking to someone and the person to whom you are talking is next to you. You will grasp exercises like these, where you get amazed with such useful developing, learning and concentration skills.
Finally doing a lot of practice of exercises you will be master of these concentration skills, read a book for twenty minutes and then write down what you have read.
