“Name of person, place or thing is called noun.” In English grammar course, nouns
are considered very important and their role is pivotal.
Functions of noun
As a subject Norma picked up the button unit.
As an object He called Rama.
As a complement He is my teacher.
Nouns & it plural
Most of nouns form their plural by adding‘s’ in singular noun.

Plural of singular count noun.
We add ‘es’ in singular noun ( countable ) if words are ending with ‘ch , sh ,
o , x , s , ss.’

Change the ending ‘Y’ into ‘ies’.
For example, sky is changed into skies. Before ‘y’ there should be
consonant.

As a unit helping verb singular.
As an individual helping verb plural.
Examples: Army, crowd, team, class, community.
The Pakistani team is winning.
